Volunteer opportunities
If you are based in Chengdu, or plan to be in the area, and are interested in taking part in our Chengdu Sports Aid events, please check the events calendar to see the next scheduled trip, or contact csa@sichuan-quake-relief.org.
At the present time, we have no major volunteer-based projects in progress, and hence not explicitly recruiting full-time volunteers. (For more on our current activities, please see our projects page.)

SAME Camps
The SAME Camps were a hugely successful part of SQR’s summer 2009 work, offering fun and relief to thousands of children that had been displaced as a result of the earthquake.
With the intensive focus that school reconstruction has received in the two years following the disaster, it appears that the majority of students have been returned to newly-built, permanent schools. Life is slowly returning to normal; as with schools all over the world, the students look forward to the end of the academic year and the summer break. As such, SQR has no plans to repeat the SAME camps project.
We greatly appreciate the efforts of the previous years’ volunteers — without them the SAME Camps would not have been possible. We are sure that, like us, the students that attended them will treasure the memories for years to come.
