Projects. What SQR is doing. How you can help.
Work and projects in the area adapt as situations change and needs arise. There are currently numerous short-, mid- and long-term projects in progress.

- Information hub — collecting and publishing information related to the post-quake recovery process and social development; linking other organisations with local people and projects
- Re-granting — supporting grassroots organisations by issuing small-scale grants to develop their own projects
- Rural schools support — providing textbooks and other essential supplies to schoolchildren in rural communities
- Guangji Kindergarten & Community Centre — rebuilding a kindergarten that serves five villages, and developing a community centre within the grounds
- Chengdu Sports Aid — providing fun and a form of release for children of all ages in quake-affected communities
- Partnership with The Library Project — donating and installing libraries for schools in need

[...] Last week 7 enthusiastic SQR volunteers trekked up to GuangJi to set up the first SAME Summer Camp at GuangJi Township near Mianzhu (2hrs from Chengdu). The GuangJi Kindergarten and Preschool was chosen as our first location because SQR already had an existing relationship with the school principal, Kang Laoshi (’laoshi’ = ‘teacher’). SQR is actively coordinating the demolition and rebuilding of one of the buildings damaged in last year’s quake. [...]
